UAE firm invests USD 2 Billion on construction in Ethiopia

Ethiopia and Djibouti signs deal to build 765km pipeline

The government of Ethiopia and Djibouti has signed a deal to build a 765km pipeline to transport gas from the landlocked state to Djibouti, partly bordered by the red sea. Kenya's tallest high-rise apartment units to be completed by 2021

Ethiopia inaugurates the biggest airport aviation hub in Africa

Ethiopian Prime Minister Minister Abiy Ahmed has inaugurated the newly expanded Addis Ababa Bole International Airport terminal, the biggest airport aviation hub in Africa exceeding Johannesburg’s O.R. Ethiopia Airlines to launch US $65m five-star hotel

Ethiopian Airline is set to launch US $65m Ethiopian Skylight Five Hotel this month. This is according to the Airline’s Head of Infrastructure Planning and Development, Abraham Tesfaye. The Head of Infrastructure Planning said that the million dollar hotel whose construction  began in 2016, will be officially opened to the public on the 28th of January. East Africa construction industry outlook promising-report

The total number of projects in East Africa has risen by a substantial 96% between 2017 and 2018 with an equally substantial increase of 167% in the total US dollar value of projects, a new report has shown. The Africa Construction Trends (2018) by consultancy firm Deloitte, reveals that East Africa has a total of 139 projects at a combined value of US$87.1bn. 806 acres of land set aside for construction of new industries in Tanzania

More than 806 acres of land has been set aside for construction of new industries by the government of Tanzania in the country's northern city Arusha. Construction is set to take place on the southern fringes of the 272 square-kilometer metropolitan area. East Africa construction industry to grow tenfold over the years

Investment opportunities in infrastructure construction is set to expand at a rapid pace in East Africa. Operations of Ethiopia's Grand Renaissance dam to commence in 2020

Ethiopia’s water and energy minister Seleshi Bekele announced on Thursday that the country will start energy production at the Grand Renaissance dam in December 2020. Bangladeshi steel maker to open Sh6.5bn factory

Big ticket infrastructural projects including the multi-billion Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) have driven up demand for steel products in the country.
