Kenya govt. to construct 28 km connecting highway at the JKIA

A 28 Km highway bridge is decided to be constructed by the Kenyan government, which will connect Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) with Kangemi market on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway in order to control traffic congestion in the Kenyan capital city. James Macharia the transport Secretary confirmed the reports saying that engineers have been deployed at the airport to assess the ground for the construction and help inform the final design.... US $2bn integrated community development project to be constructed in Ethiopia

US $2bn has been set aside  for integrated community development project in Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa which will entail 4,000 apartment houses, recreation centers and three star hotels. During the launch of the project, the country’s Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed said that according to the master plan, 1,600 households current dwelling will be demolished and later on absorbed in the proposed apartments. Macro investments to boost trade in East Africa

Recent economic research and forecasts have found that investments in East African infrastructure construction are set to expand rapidly. Total infrastructure construction output in the region’s largest markets of Rwanda, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania, is expected to grow from USD 25.9 billion in 2017, to USD 98.8 billion in 2022. Rwanda registers a healthy economic growth rate: International Monetary Fund

The IMF and the World Bank have released the growth estimates for Rwanda to 7.2 percent . ABB to equip first high speed rail link in Tanzania

Construction work on road linking Kenya and Burundi complete

Construction work on the 1,545 km road linking the port of Mombasa and Burundi dubbed the Mombasa-Bujumbura highway is now complete and is set to increase trade  between the two countries. Tallest high rise in Africa to be developed in Malindi Kenya

Watamu shoreline, in Malindi Kenya is set to have the tallest high rise in Africa eclipsing the Pinnacle Tower in Nairobi's Upperhill region that stands at 70 stories and 300 meters in stature and as at now is the tallest high rise in the landmass. Tanzania secures US $1.46bn loan for Standard Gauge Railway (SGR).

Tanzania has anchored a US $1.46bn concessional credit from the Standard Chartered Bank Group to subsidize its Morogoro-Dodoma standard check railroad (SGR).
